Our Educational Philosophy: Building Confidence

The most important foundation for your child’s educational growth is a strong sense of self. Children who have confidence feel secure about themselves and have the courage to take risks and forgive themselves if the outcome of their effort doesn’t succeed the first time. Children who have confidence embrace critical thinking and are invigorated, instead of stymied by, challenges. Our growth-minded, warm, supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere is a greenhouse that allows our students to explore their world and encourages their creativity and curiosity to flourish.

Interactive and hands-on learning is another crucial ingredient in the educational process. Children learn best by exploring and discovering the world around them, making hypotheses and testing them in the laboratory of life.

A constructivist classroom — in which a child learns through self discovery –ensures that children retain information for longer and with more clarity. It means that children apply their learning to future experiences, synthesizing what they know with what they encounter. Frequent field trips to nature centers, museums, orchards and other hands-on centers of learning augment this experiential approach to cognitive development.
