Elisa Zehnwirth grew up in Queens, New York and after graduating from XX high school, studied at Machon Gold - Gold College in Jerusalem. On returning to the U.S., she received a bachelor's degree in Judaic Studies from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women in Manhattan. Subsequently, Mrs. Zehnwirth earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration.
Mrs. Zehnwirth has over three decades of experience in classroom education and administration, both in primary and secondary grades. She established and directed an early childhood learning center in Jerusalem, Israel and is a noted lecturer and workshop leader in early childhood education. Mrs. Zehnwirth's experience includes tenure at the Hebrew Theological College's Blitstein Teacher's Institute, where among other subjects, she developed and delivered courses in child development. She is a warm and caring person who connects with students and their parents in a very special way, heart to heart. Torah Academy is honored to have her as our principal.
